Williams has been involved in the construction industry since 1964. He worked with his father and partnered with his uncle as Williams and Williams General Contractors before establishing Leon Williams General Contractors, Inc., in 1986. During the 1990’s, LWGC grew into one of East Tennessee’s largest construction firms until reorganizing as Leon Williams Contractors, LLC in 2002. During his career, Williams has participated in technical and professional courses of study relative to masonry construction, mechanical construction, and building design. He is a past President of the Associated Builders and Contractors and has served on the board of the Blount County Chamber of Commerce. Williams lives in Blount County with his wife and has two grown children and six grandchildren.
Hawkins began working part-time at Leon Williams Contractors, LLC, 12 years ago during his junior year at the University of Tennessee. He graduated magna cum laude with a BS in Civil Engineering. Through his years of experience and expertise in accurate cost estimating and detailed project management he helps clients achieve success. Promoted to Partner in 2011, Senior Partner in 2014, and President of LWC in 2016. He is also involved in his community and church. Hawkins lives in Maryville with his wife and two children.
Cronin joined Leon Williams Contractors in 2012, bringing with him seven years of commercial construction experience, ranging from historical building preservation to restaurant and multi-tenant residential construction. A graduate of Tennessee Tech University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration, Cronin has taken on many roles during his tenure at Leon Williams Contractors, including onsite project supervision, estimating and project management.
Blankenship, formerly a supervisor working with Leon Williams Contractors since 2013, will continue to supervise projects but will additionally be responsible for project management, including on-site management, estimating, and overall construction management. He graduated from East Tennessee State University with a bachelor’s degree in construction engineering.
Irving joined Leon Williams Contractors as a construction superintendent in early 2017. Before Leon Williams Contractors, Irving was travelling state to state building automotive retail stores. Irving is an honorably separated Lance Cpl. with the U.S. Marine Corps, working toward his degree in construction engineering technology. He’s been able to bring that knowledge, along with his previous construction experience, to the table for the benefit of the Leon Williams team and clients.
