Changing Lives Through Construction: Extreme Makeover: Home Edition Comes to Knoxville, Part 3

January 12-18, 2012 was a whirlwind week for the thousands of volunteers from all over Knoxville and the surrounding areas who came together to build a new home for the Watson family, who run The Restoration House, helping single mothers get back on their feet. I was thrilled to get to be a part of this incredible project.

The family was selected for “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition,” to receive a brand-new, 3,500-square foot home in just six days. It meant a lot of hard work for volunteers, but by the time the family returned home on January 18, their beautiful new home was ready for them to settle in and relax.

But before they arrived, we all scrambled to put the final finishing touches on the home, to get it ready for the big reveal. Take a look at the following pictures and videos of the final day of construction.
