Changing Lives Through Construction: Extreme Makeover: Home Edition Comes to Knoxville, Part 4

On January 18, 2012, Knoxville’s Watson family got to see the beautiful new, 3,500-square foot home that more than 4,000 local volunteers and the cast and crew of “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” had built for them. The home replaced their previous house, which was in very bad repair, and provided more space for their efforts with The Restoration House, an organization that assists single mothers in getting back on their feet after hard times.

I was thrilled to be a part of the volunteer team, and of course I wasn’t going to miss the final big reveal! Check out these pictures and video I took of the final moments of the project and the family’s reaction.

I am so honored to have been able to be a part of this wonderful project, and I just know the Watson family, and the women and children they help, will be able to enjoy it for years to come.
